Chocolate Chip Cookie Perfected!

Waa La! We have perfection at last! See..high altitude cooking is tough;especially baking. We have had more flat pancake cookies than fluffy yummy ones. That is until Martha Stewart aka KY came to visit. She worked and worked and yes!! They are really good. Becca has been able to duplicate it twice now! Thank you KY for successfully perfecting the cookie recipe for 7000 ft!

Today was a SPONTANIOUS day for us Thrustons! Jo told us about free food..hey, who doesn't want free food!

Kadence Truly is a Joy!

This day was our special time with Kadence. See most of the time she is with Mommy and Daddy but today she is with Auntie and Uncle Rel. Joanna and I planned a surprise for Robby earlier this week so they could have one last HURRAH before Keaton arrives. The funny part to the story is that Robby text me Tuesday to see if I could keep her so he could take Jo on a date. I, of course, used my texting skills and made up some excuse as to why we COULDN'T watch her. I know he thought we were the BIGGEST Losers around. Tee Hee.

The girls helped Kadence eat an Otter Pop and played soccer outside. Lina and Kadence watched Brother Bear together after nap time. Nap time was short today!

She and I swung, played toys, and laughed with Elmo.

She took a bath..she was dirty after playing outside and eating dinner. And finally, she brushed her teeth after winding down with a toy. So FUN! I love having a little one under my feet again even if it is only for a night.

I think I'll send them off more often....

Colorado is G.R.E.A.T.! What More Can I Say?

This morning we went to our park and played with Joanna and Kadence. Jo suggested it and what a great suggestion it was! I can not express how wonderful the summers are here. Honestly, you can't imagine it until you live it. We played Bocce ball, kicked the soccer ball around, played on the jungle gym, and took in the scenery. We really hope to go camping soon but every time I walk out my front door I feel like I AM camping already.

Kadence is such a joy to watch. She copies everything we say. So cute.
