It's Midnight, Do You Know Where Your Kids Are?

Playing the Wii of course!

What are summers for if not for staying up late with the folks and playing games. Electronic games that is. We are enjoying this new toy in our home, it is so interactive! Anybody who knows us knows we love the outdoors but if you can't be outside the Wii is a fun activity.
{Yes, Lina was in bed by then. :) }

Fourth of July Monument Parade

Happy 4th of July America!

We we're so excited to be in Small Town USA this year. We got up this morning and went over to the Monument Parade. There were so many people we had to park quite far and walk in. We took our chairs and a cooler with Otter Pops to hand out. The church does this every year with a little note attached about it. Fun! So we sat in the heat, yes it was hot today, and watched floats and people walk down the road. I felt like I was in the Andy Griffith show!

We attended the parade with The Kurtz's too.

Kadence had an Otter Pop and was very happy with all the goodies being thrown to the crowd. Let's see... candy, water, plastic necklaces, and oh yah... toothbrushes!
Lina sat with her friend and tried to stay cool.

BY you'd be proud! Boo shot a gun.. Toto, we're not in Kansas... no that's California anymore.

So we saw these Shriners go by and they kept coming and coming. What is AL Kaly anyway?

Elvis attended and so did Marilyn Monroe. Wow.. We're special!

This car reminded me of Reg. She'd drive this for sure.
Plenty of horses represented too..
Lots of churches came out this morning. Very cool.

Okay.. so an elephant? We saw sports cars and elephants! My oh my!
We had a great time! Thank you Monument!

Amazing Clouds!

We had our second official, at least to me, real thunderstorm this afternoon. So here's the summer pattern..so we're told... Beautiful morning, great sunny days, and then sometime in the afternoon the clouds move in for an afternoon thunderstorm. Today's was spectacular! Lightning, thunder, rain, BiGGer rain! The rain cools everything off and waters the plants and grasses. Wonderful...

All That is Good...

Today... big breakfast, haircut, ice cream, rain, walking, laughing, family, fun!

My sweet, dear, wonderful husband has THE best smile around but to get him to smile for my camera is like pulling teeth. It took two tries. Why oh why does he fight the camera?

This wall was calling for a picture. By the way..if you click on the picture they get bigger. a little blogging 101 for my friends. :)

I love how close they are..don't let anyone tell you teenagers aren't any fun. We love it!

After some great ice cream and walking old Colorado City just a little while the sky opened up WHOOSH and we waited under an awning to get in the truck. It never let up so we charged the truck and laughed as we fought the waters!

I love ice cream but this ice cream was E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E!

Mary Poppins

Is it even possible one of my children has NOT seen this movie???!!! Now, I feel like a baaaad momma. I had three kids in 3 1/2 years and they saw all the Disney movie classics. Well, sweet Lina comes along 4 1/2 years later and for some reason she missed out. I think we we're a little busy by then! Of course she has seen many Disney movies but I really need to make sure the classics are viewed for goodness sakes. How sad is that?
