Science Experiment...

Becca dissected a crayfish and a fishy fish yesterday. We are trying desperately to finish up Biology. Between moving and company, well...we're behind. No, she's behind. So here she is taking apart some critters. We love LOVE Apologia Science!

Bat Cave.....

We call Gabe's room The Bat Cave. It's a great room; gray and big. Here's the biggest problem. This big ol' window. Isn't it lovely? We are gonna shop vac it out this weekend but then what? I'm looking for suggestions. I thought about flowers or silk plants. We've never had a basement before and well, this window is gross!

Yes... you can make comments. It's the little mail thingy below the pictures. Let me know your thoughts.

Oh, this little guy has been there since we moved in. We thought he was hibernating at first, then we realized he's dead. He still hasn't decomposed! It's been a long term science watch. I think we'll shop vac him too.

Adventures in Odyssey starring Lina and Haley

Today was Awesome! Our friends the Gills are in from sunny California and they happen to bring one of Lina's dearest friends, their daughter Haley! We went to Focus on the Family today to explore and experience recording their own Odyssey adventure. It was so fun to see the girls in the studio and they even got their very own CD. Way Cool! They played dress-up and went down the three story slide. They had burgers and went down the three story slide. After a movie in the theater and a trip to the bookstore, we finished up the day with some ice cream. Angelina has waited months for this day! It was worth the wait.

2008 Garden Diary Day 1

It's June and we planted our veggies! We have two tomato plants, green beans, sweet peppers, and pumpkins! I'll keep you posted on growing veggies in the mtns. I do pray we are successful!

This is in front of the house. It is going to be in full bloom soon. I can't wait. We have so many flowers in the yard. They are popping out of the ground everywhere. When it all blooms I'll show them to all of you.

Weekend Happenin's

The cell phone saga hasn't been much fun here. We haven't gotten good reception from Cingular since we moved to Monument. Unless you walk around with the phone and your body contorted it didn't work. So it's official.. we moved BACK to Verizon and all have new cell numbers. ANDDDD Boo now is an official cell phone user. ANDDDDD We all have unlimited texting. Yes, we are now in the 21st century with the rest of you.
I went on a 2 mile walk yesterday and was wishing I had my camera. Everywhere I walked I kept saying to myself, "Wow, I live here!" God new just what we needed.
Terrell was Pa Ingalls this weekend and cut down a dead tree on our property (due to Bark Beetles) with the help of our neighbor and girls while I had coffee with some neighbors on their deck. Okay, I was on clean up committee! I planted some tomatoes in the garden. Yah Me! We also had the Kurtz's over for some scrumptious BBQ, great conversation, a short game of cribbage, and a spectacular lighting show. So.. that's only Friday and Saturday! What did you do?
