Two, Two Posts in One

Once upon a time there were two families in search of the perfect tree. But first things first. Food. So off to the Donut Mill we went to get the best donuts around these parts.
After our sugary sweets, the two families went to get their 10 dollar tree permits. Our studly men checked out the map and made a plan. Off to the forest we go! Here we are getting that infamous family photo before we trudge off through the forest. Gotta take advantage of every photo op!

Yes.. we really did go this far. The views were amazing and the serentity sweet.

Our Big Blue did a great job getting us back in the woods.

Could this be the one? The perfect tree for the Kurtz's? Oh yes! Perfect!

Joanna and Keaton made it all the way into the forest. Exercise and tree cutting .. who knew?

Aren't we cute? I love this man!

Lumberjack Gabe... The WHOLE forest and every creature God made heard him yelling about the weight of the trees!

First Annual Tree Cutting Photo.. Our Fellow Adventurers..Rob, Joanna, Kadence and Keaton

This is the Thruston tree being drug. Okay.. it's bigger than we thought. We ended up cutting off 6 ft of it... after we got it home. :) Now you know why Lumberjack Gabe yelled!

Rest. Much needed.

The Aspens were calling me..take my picture, take my picture!

AHHH.. We made it back. Dirty truck and all. By now, I was done. We took a road home that was off roadish. BuMmPy! But wait there's more.. It's not done yet... Sadies Dance was in a few hours. The girls hurried to get all gussied up and ta da! Gabe, Becca and Boo looked marvelous! This was a first for us. All three teenagers going TOGETHER to a dance with some friends.

Shoo... Well my story is done. Saturday was great fun and another new tradition started!

Hey, your weekend sounds just as busy as ours was! Except for the fact that you got to enjoy fresh air & sunshine... and a good workout. All we got was an old theatre & NUTCRACKER! :-)

Those Jones kids clean up really well. Great photos, Tuna!

I can't wait to see your tree. Looks like lots of fun. What a special thing for the kids to all go together! The schools must combine their Sadies Dance???
