Medieval Days for Hollywood

The girls are working on chain mail here.
They went on a parade through the school and all the other classes sat in the hall along the wall watching the ladies and gents walk by.

Oh she's working hard to hold A BOY'S hand!

Here is my lady with her sword and shield.

This is the young man who took the kids on the raid! He was great with them.

Swords for women you ask... why of course!

Here are three fabulous 4th grade teachers. Lina's is the one on the far right. Aren't their costumes great!

My fair maiden.

Ok so not really Hollywood, just my Hollywood.

My sweet Angelina attends a local charter school. Here's three cheers for charter schools! Hip Hip Hooray! This is a place I would LOVE to work one day. There is a great excitement about learning in this place. The teachers love their job and the kids love their teachers.
Today was no exception. The 4th grade classes attended Medieval Day as a part of the hands-on experience they receive. Every grade level host a period in time to make that part of History come alive. How cool is that? The children can rent or borrow costumes too. They bring in folks who work in a society for the Middle Ages and they definitely add to the excitement. One young man took the kids on a raid to another class. The kids went running and yelling down the hall to bring back their capture (a 5th grade teacher). They sold her back for a bag of candy! They made chain mails (oh I do hope that is how it's spelled!), swords, crest, and learned to dance. The boys of course have cooties so it took everything the girls had to hold their hands. No, Not hold hands! They finished the morning with a feast and a good show from the Society.
Medieval Days were a hit! Can't wait for next years event!

Can't find your email anywhere...

I have openings on Mondays only right now. My fees are different depending on what kind of lessons you're looking for (mostly classical or mostly worship improv). Either $80/month or $100/month. :)
