Fourth of July Monument Parade

Happy 4th of July America!

We we're so excited to be in Small Town USA this year. We got up this morning and went over to the Monument Parade. There were so many people we had to park quite far and walk in. We took our chairs and a cooler with Otter Pops to hand out. The church does this every year with a little note attached about it. Fun! So we sat in the heat, yes it was hot today, and watched floats and people walk down the road. I felt like I was in the Andy Griffith show!

We attended the parade with The Kurtz's too.

Kadence had an Otter Pop and was very happy with all the goodies being thrown to the crowd. Let's see... candy, water, plastic necklaces, and oh yah... toothbrushes!
Lina sat with her friend and tried to stay cool.

BY you'd be proud! Boo shot a gun.. Toto, we're not in Kansas... no that's California anymore.

So we saw these Shriners go by and they kept coming and coming. What is AL Kaly anyway?

Elvis attended and so did Marilyn Monroe. Wow.. We're special!

This car reminded me of Reg. She'd drive this for sure.
Plenty of horses represented too..
Lots of churches came out this morning. Very cool.

Okay.. so an elephant? We saw sports cars and elephants! My oh my!
We had a great time! Thank you Monument!

Great pictures! So that car reminded you of me, huh? Love the color! Way to go Boo - our own Annie Oakley. We miss you all...
